If you’re keen to welcome your new arrival into the family, but a christening or baptism isn’t for you, why not consider a celebrant-led baby naming? We’ll work together to craft a ceremony unique to your child and your circumstances, with no restrictions on content, format or style. You can choose to make promises to your child, to acknowledge the love and support of guiding parents, grandparents and siblings and to include symbolic acts, such as lighting a candle or planting a tree. A naming ceremony is a wonderful way to welcome a new baby, to celebrate adoption or to mark the blending of two families.

My fee for a naming or welcome ceremony is £350. Following a no-commitment introductory meeting by Zoom, a deposit will be payable. The fee then includes a face-to-face planning meeting if you live locally or meetings by Zoom if not, a unique script and my attendance at your ceremony. Travel within a 25-mile radius of my Somerset base is included, with additional mileage charged at 40p per mile. If an overnight stay is required, this will be discussed with you in advance and billed at cost.
